I Just Can't Help Myself

I just can't help myself. Look if you dare or care. Don't if you won't or don't. Avery had 1 year old pictures taken and I am still the new father that marvels at how much and in what ways a child grows. Most of ya'll are veterans and are probably not as amused as I am of course. So, out of more than a hundred great pics, I quickly grabbed 5 that caught my eye. (Great job snapping pics of a now temperamental toddler by the way Kelly! Anyone interested in a great photographer just ask Kathleen for info.)

"This is my 'looking at something past you in the distance' pose." -Avery

"Are ya kidding me!?! More pictures?"

"Hey! I didn't expect to see you down there! Hello!"

"Uh... yeah! I could go for some puffs and a couple episodes of Spongebob right now! Let's go!"

"Thanks for looking at my pictures! I can feel the love!"

Well, that's my girl! I was pretty sure she was going to be boy before she was born and now I am such a sucker for her sweetness and charm... we'll see how long that lasts, right Avery?

  1. When your child is born you fall in love with them immediately, and wonder how can my love for her get stronger....but it does. Even into adulthood, a parent loves their children with their whole being. Cherish the moments you have with them and rejoice in the years as they grow to be adults with your love and guidance. I love looking at Avery's pictures, and the only thing that will be better is when I can see pictures of my new grandchildren. In the meantime I will have to be happy being Avery's Great Aunt Jeri. I love you all.

  2. Amen Aunt Jeri! Even at their worst (fasten your seatbelt--you ain't seen nuthin' yet!), you'd give/do anything for them. Besides, it would do them more harm than good. Kids sure do have a way of making parents out of us, eh?! ;)

  3. Not to ruin the moment of parental love appreciation, but since Avery has already mastered her "'Looking at something past you in the distance' pose" (lol!) I think she should reveal "Blue Steel" at her 18-month-old photo shoot!

  4. Where are those photos taken, again? Kinda cool buildings.

  5. "Blue Steel" is being developed as we speak. It's not quite ready for its first take. :)

Nate, you will have to ask Kathleen. I already forgot after I asked the same question!
