What's going on!?!

So, after a rather weak showing of blog posts this last month I was going to log on and catch up on some stuff and junk that I meant to post... it didn't work out so well. The website refuses to let me do anything with pictures! Lame. I guess the it's upset at my absence and is refusing to cooperate right now. Yes, it can make that decision... you've never noticed your computer just having a "crabby day"? Well, it happens. I am also making the decision to allow it today. Everyone is entitled to a crabby day once in a while. Just not more often than other type of days. Right, honey? I kid. This will tell me if Kathleen is even aware that we have a blog, however.

So, computer is in crabby mode... you'd think I might be also. No? Not enough reason for me to be cranky? How about I have to go to bed now, yep, 12 noon. I know. Who is going to argue with bed ANYTIME, right? What if I told you that I have to go to bed now because I have to work a 13 hour shift beginning at 7pm? Ahh... now I might have a reason to be a little bit crabby. Am I? No! I am actually in a great mood. Going to work tonight on 3rd shift is a sign that some normality is returning to my life! I'll be back in my "home" store! No more "weird" schedule and almost triple time commute! My time in the East Capitol Walmart on the east side of Milwaukee is over (for now) and I can return to my primary work! Yes, there is work that makes me happy. While appreciated the time I had in East Capitol... boy is it good to be going back. So, that's all for now. More posts of more interesting nature to follow in the near future! Enjoy the wonderful weather headed our way! I'll be sure to dream of it until I get a taste for myself!

Guest Baby

Avery has many pictures with a spoon in her hand or a spoon in her mouth. It's not an unusual photo op moment with a baby because of the amount of times a baby eats and all the colorful and cute things they do while they eat. I do not, however, have any pictures like the one I got last week in a text message of one of our godchildren, Davin. I originally thought that Campbell's Chunky Soup had found a new way to get their advertising to me. Turns out it was just Davin having his daily lunch...

I know I pick on the little guy because he is such a "brute", but when Avery saw the spoon Davin gets to eat with she made it pretty clear that she'd be willing to give it a try too!

Caption!

Give it a shot! What do you think Avery has to say in this picture?

"How is a person supposed to raise kids in this day and age? Would ya look at this!?!"

Avery Update!

I have been buried in work lately. The kind of work that consumes you. Stressful work. Don't feel sorry for me... I brought it on myself. I have been in the East Capitol store and it is a store with many opportunities for improvement. I am enjoying it in a sick, work driven, challenge sort of way. In other ways, not so much. So, I haven't given a lot of time lately to the blog. Today I want to take two minutes to post a couple pics of our growing baby girl. She is pulling herself up on everything lately and is pretty proud of herself! Here are a couple picks of her in her room after a nap and when we go to wake her up in the morning. This is how we have been finding the munchkin lately...

"Nap time is over!"

"Blending in... blending in... blending... *Flash* ... I'm blind!"

Church at ZKC with WLA!

Today, on a sort of, kind of, last minute decision, our family decided to attend church with my parents and brother at my old home church, Zum Kripplein Christi. Boy did we stumble on something cool! The WLA (Winnebago Lutheran Academy) travelling choir was at their church that day and was leading the service with their songs. They did a great job! It is fun to show God your praise a little differently once in a while and talented choir of kids is one of those fun and great ways to do it! I was unable to locate any videos of their songs, but one song in particular really hit home today. It's called the Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus) by Chris Rice. I know its not new, but today I really caught the words and it all sunk in. I was moved by it and it prompted all sorts of other thoughts about our Lord. That's what I call a good hymn! Here is one of the many videos made to go with the song. Focus less on the video and more on the words...

Ok. I'm Not Obsessed... But It's Cool!

Ok, I  promise this will be my last one... I had to post it though. This Rube Goldberg machine was created specifically for this video. The company that accomplished it had quite a challenge on their hands when the group Ok Go approached them with their plan. Everything connects, nothing is "magic", and the company had to ensure that everything connected at a pace that stayed with the song. Imagine the challenge! I don't have an engineering mind to accomplish this. Some of you do. Enjoy.

Cadbury Creme Egg

Check out this video! The clarity of the video isn't the greatest and I backed it up a few times the second time I watched it to figure out how he did some of it... but overall... Wow.
