Green and Yellow, Green and Yellow

Adam and I were lucky enough to be able to attend a regular season Packer game against the Saints on September 30th, during some pretty great Wisconsin weather!  We also got to see Samantha when we were up there, let's just say we "Packerized" her for the day.

There were so many people it was one giant Packer party outside.  I had never been to a regular season game before so I had no idea what to expect.  There were quite a few of these "Packered Out" vehicles.

It was like a giant block party in the surrounding area.  Cheese, beer and brats were flowing. ;)

After walking around outside and getting some lunch we headed into the parking lot where yet again, it was one big party.  Lots of people dressed up in the green and gold in interesting ways.  Sorry I don't have any pictures of them.

Avery came along with us to Green Bay and walked around with us and Auntie Sam until it was time for us to go into the stadium.  Then Avery and Auntie Sam went to go have some fun of their own.

A big huge thank you to Samantha for watching Avery!

But where is Levi?  We left him with Herman, those two are like two peas and a pod, snuggling in Herman's cage.

JUST KIDDING!

Levi, that lucky duck, got to spend the day with Grandma Z, Uncle Nathan, and Papa.  And the evening and overnight with Nana.  We got these pic's from them when we were at the game. :)
A big huge thank you to them too!  Without everyone helping watch our kiddo's we couldn't have gone.  You guys rock!

A-Rod entering the field!

The energy there was so awesome!  I think it might be my favorite way to watch the Packers!  How many years long is the season ticket waiting list again... ;)

We had such a great time!  It was nice to spend some time without the littles.  I love 'em but a little time away is refreshing and helps you recharge.  Being at Lambeau for a Packer win doesn't hurt either!

Happy Anniversary to us!

I love looking back at the life we have built together, and can't wait for what the future has in store for us.

16 But Ruth replied, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.  Your people will be my people and your God my God.  17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me." Ruth 1:16, 17

Piano Overhaul Part 1

When opportunity knocks you open the door right, or in our case we demo a piano.

We got an opportunity to upgrade our piano.  Neither of us play but we are hoping that one day our kids will.  Who am I kidding it won't really be an option for them actually, but that's beside the point.  Our old piano was a craigslist freebie find.  The family that owned it before us were moving and couldn't take it with them. They started their own renovation but I am quite sure this was not what they had in mind.

Avery helped Uncle Nathan pull away the bottom front panel and loosen up some other things underneath.

She was quite happy to do so as you can see.  That helped us detach the front of the piano completely.

She also helped Papa with some very large blots holding the giant back metal piece that had a large part with the strings.

Levi also helped in the back with some little baby wrenches just his size.

At the end of last night we removed a giant seemed to be cast iron metal thing, and cut and removed the bulk of the wires.

My job now is removing the rest of the wires, then next I get to remove all of those pins that the wires were wrapped around.  Fun hey!?  Well, that part might be a pain in the neck but I have a feeling it will be worth it in the end.

Hopefully progress wont be too slow in this piano redo project, but at least we started out with a bang.  Hopefully I will be to report some new progress soon!  Until next time, enjoy pondering what in the world I am doing to my piano.
